Prawn Masala | प्रॉन्स मसाला
Ingredients
- 225 g (½ pound) peeled shrimp
- 2 bell peppers (chopped into 1 inch squares)
- 1 bell pepper (sliced thinly)
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 2 tbsp onion (minced)
- 2 tbsp sour cream
- 1 tsp ginger paste
- ½ tsp garlic paste
Dry Spices
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- ¾ tsp salt
- ½ tsp red chili powder
- ½ tsp turmeric
Method
- In a frying pan, heat oil on medium heat. Add onion and stir for 3 minutes.
- Once onion is light brown, add garlic, ginger paste, and dry ingredients. Cook for one minute.
- Add a half cup of water and cover.
- Cook until all the water evaporates and masala leaves oil. Roughly two minutes.
- Add prawns and sour cream. Stir until sour cream is combined.
- Add water and cover until shrimps are tender.
- Add bell pepper squares. Simmer for 2 minutes to let the peppers soften.
Garnish with thinly sliced peppers and serve with rice or roti.
